Chocolate Chip Cookies

Yield: One Dozen (12), 2 oz cookies

 

Ingredients

All measurements are by weight. Please use a kitchen scale to prepare recipe.

·         7 oz / 206g        All Purpose Flour        

·         .11 oz / 3g         Baking Soda  

·         .14 oz / 4g         Kosher Salt     

·         4 oz / 115g        Melted Unsalted Butter          

·         5 oz / 144g        Light Brown Sugar      

·         2.5 oz / 72g      Granulated Sugar       

·         .3 oz / 9g            Vanilla Extract              

·         1.4 oz / 42g      Fresh Whole Eggs       

·         3.3 oz / 94g      Chocolate Chips        

 

Instructions

1.      Melt butter on low heat.

2.      In a mixer with a paddle attachment, place sugars and salt in bowl.

3.      Add melted butter to sugar mixture, using a paddle combine until there are no lumps.

4.      Add vanilla extract.

5.      Add eggs. Scrape the bowl making sure all ingredients are incorporated.

6.      Mix in flour and baking soda until just combined, then add chocolate chips – you want to still see flour when adding chocolate chips.

7.      Scoop dough onto lined baking sheet.

8.      Bake at 325 degrees Fahrenheit for 10-12 minutes, or lightly golden.

9.      Cool slightly before moving to rack.
