Reintroduction to Potawatomi Casino Hotel

If you’re from the Milwaukee area, you’re probably familiar with Potawatomi Casino Hotel, which opened its doors in 1991. The Forest County Potawatomi obtained land in Milwaukee’s Menomonee Valley in 1990 and built a bingo hall. On March 7, 1991, Potawatomi Bingo became the first off-reservation casino in the country and is still the only one of its kind in the state of Wisconsin. The business from 1991 to today looks a little different. After an almost $200 million renovation, Potawatomi Casino Hotel Milwaukee updated everything from the flooring and aesthetic to adding new restaurants and a new gaming experience for guests. So, without further ado, let us reintroduce you to our newly renovated casino floor.

Potawatomi Rewards

In 2024, we rolled out a new rewards system that gives our players more rewards, new and better benefits, an adjusted point threshold, and a new look called Potawatomi Rewards. What is the best part of our new Potawatomi Rewards system? Players can earn points at BOTH our Milwaukee and Carter locations. Guests can sign up for this exclusive club using any one of our Potawatomi Rewards booths. We have two booths on the first and second floors and self-service kiosks for reprinting lost cards. Signing up for a Potawatomi Rewards card is free, but the rewards are priceless.

As a Potawatomi Rewards member, you’ll have early access to customized online offers and information about new promotions, dining, entertainment, special Potawatomi Rewards member deals, and so much more. Also exclusive to Potawatomi Rewards members, as you climb through different tiers, your rewards card unlocks outstanding benefits and perks with some of our partners, such as the Milwaukee Bucks, Brewers, and Norwegian Cruise Line.

Visit Potawatomi Rewards to learn more about our new rewards program or log in to view your points.

First Floor

  • Dreamcatcher Gaming – Spend some time in the Dreamcatcher gaming section near Bar 360 and Dream Dance Steakhouse. In this gaming section, you will find hundreds of slot machines ranging in different styles and themes.
    • Along the back wall near Dream Dance Steakhouse is our video poker area and entrance to our High Limit Gaming room. Visit us on Wednesday nights to listen to live music from local artists.

  • Champions Gaming – travel towards the Sportsbook to enter the Champions Gaming section of the first floor. Here you will find a mix of live table games, including Pai Gow Poker, Blackjack, and your favorite slot machines. This section also opens up to the Annex, where we have additional sport betting kiosks.
    • Here, our table games also feature TVs so you can keep up on all the sports action while playing your favorite table games. Need a break? Step into the Sportsbook where you can place bets at the betting counter and watch your favorite teams and competitors play.

Mezzanine

  • Ride the escalators up to the Mezzanine—a floor nestled between the first and second gaming floors, which is dedicated to our guests who prefer a smoking section. In this gaming area, we have countless slot machines, a drink station, and servers available to make your experience enjoyable. We have state-of-the-art air filtration to keep the rest of the casino smoke-free, allowing all of our guests to enjoy their time on our property.

Second floor

  • ElevenHundred Gaming – This section has it all! The ElevenHundred gaming area is home to not one but three different live table game pits, hundreds of slot machines, a full-service bar, a live DJ every Saturday night, the promotions stage, AND electronic gaming tables. What more could you ask for?

  • EZ Street Gaming – Our newest gaming section on the second floor is strictly dedicated to electronic table games, or eTables. In the EZ Street Gaming section, you will find variations of Craps and Blackjack, and two versions of Casino Wizard. Check out the EZ Street drink truck for a boozy slushy and a collector's cup!

  • Atrium Gaming – The Atrium Gaming area is located in the center of the second floor before you reach the Horizon and Pulse areas. It is our smaller gaming section with fewer slot machines, but easy, quick access to the other gaming areas. If you follow our YouTube page, you may have noticed this is where Vegas Matt did his two group pulls in March 2025.

  • Horizon Gaming – The Horizon Gaming section is between Potawatomi Provisions and Cream City Coffee Co. It has dozens of slot machines to play and a cashier to cash in your winnings! Once you're done playing, use your points to check out Potawatomi Provisions for some exclusive swag items or pick up a coffee on your way out.

  • Pulse Gaming – Located on the Rock & Brews Bar side, Pulse Gaming section has countless new slot machines and easy access to the Rock & Brews stage. Listen to live music every Saturday night while playing your favorite games, watch music videos or sports games on one of our many TVs at the Rock & Brews Bar.

  • 1833 Gaming – Offered exclusively to our Blaze and Flame members, the 1833 Club is an area where sophistication and relaxation meet elevated gameplay. This gaming area is home to its bar, restaurant, and entertainment in addition to the many gaming options, such as table games and high-limit slot machines.

Slot Machines

Our property has thousands of slot machines! You can find slot machines in denominations from $.01 to over $100 per bet. To see the denomination of a slot machine, simply look at the screen. Slot denominations are usually listed in large, bold type at the bottom-center or bottom-right of the machine's screen. If you find yourself at a machine that lists more than one denomination, it is a multi-denominational slot machine. In this case, you can choose the amount to place your bets.

Slot machine themes are an entertaining part of the game. You can find themes anywhere from kittens to zombies to Ancient Rome to your favorite TV shows and celebrities, with interactive bonus rounds to keep you entertained and excited.

Our advice: Find a machine with a bet you're comfortable making and a theme that catches your eye. Sit down and read the rules so you know how the bets and bonus rounds work.

Table Games

Currently, there are over 61 table games with eight live game types on the casino floor. In addition to our selection of live table games, we have plenty of electronic table games, including blackjack, roulette, and craps.

Live Games - Our live tables are in the Champion and ElevenHundred gaming areas. The eight game types are Baccarat, Blackjack, Craps, Mississippi Stud, Pai Gow Poker, Roulette, Texas Hold 'em, and now 3-Shot Poker.

In addition to the standard games, we feature variations including Multi-link Progressive Wager and 21+3 Progressive Wager. Like slot machines, the minimum bet amount for these games is always shown on the table, often with a lighted or digital sign near the dealer.

Electronic Games - If electronic games are more your style, we have you covered. Located on EZ Street, we have plenty of e-tables for you to choose from: Craps, Crapless Craps, Blackjack Extreme,  and Casino Wizard VIP, which has six different gaming options!

If you are looking for Roulette eTables, take a short walk to the ElevenHundred gaming area, and you will find two Roulette tables waiting for you to test your luck.

Finally, we have you covered if you are a video poker player. Head downstairs to the Dreamcatcher Gaming area to enter our video poker playing area with over a dozen games to try.

Sportsbook

In May 2024, we officially opened the doors to the best Sportsbook outside Las Vegas. With a massive wall of screens showing over 2,000 square feet of video, you will never miss a game, fight, race, or competition at Potawatomi Sportsbook. Stop by the Sportsbook desk to place your wagers before finding your seat. Then sit back and relax in one of our dozen recliners or bring the crew and enjoy game day favorites at one of our many tables.

The Sportsbook has the best food for your hunger, from a Wisconsin Cheese Board to the Firecracker Burger and the new John Kuhn’s Fullback Platter. The odds are always in your flavor.

Unique to our Sportsbook is the Potawatomi Sportsbook Studio, located on the second floor. At any time during the sporting season, the On Air sign lights up, indicating that a sportscaster is recording a podcast or going live for ESPN or YouTube.

Annex

Another great addition to the Sportsbook area is the Annex, which opened in December 2024 and offers additional seating, more sports betting kiosks, and more opportunities to experience the game. We host watch parties and other special events here. The opportunities are endless, and we hope that you will join us in the Annex for future events.

Our website has more information on sports betting and a how-to guide. Visit the Sportsbook page to learn more.
